Colors of emotions and relationships

Life. E.T. 2012. Oil colors.

In the “Life” painting is shown a pregnant woman baby inside. This art represents two lifes, which are physically and emotionally really close to each other. Ekaterina has similar work, called “Expectations” done by watercolors.

Sympathy. By E.T. 2012. Oil colors.

In the "Sympathy" painting is shown a sympathetic pantomime, who is sitting in a chair holding a crying mask like a baby. The sorrow is really common in the world and people need somebody who will comfort them. Ekaterina wanted to be shown the relationship of emotions, how they are linked together. A pantomime is a good figure to express emotions, so it’s a main character in this painting.

Butterfly Garden

By E. T. 2011. Collage: oil colors, folio and mirror

This painting has been done due to Young Artists Competition in Helsinki, Finland.
The Competition has been organized by the Finnish High-Tech company Basware.

Check more about the Competition via YouTube.

"This work represents really important characteristic in our lives, Courage.
A Butterfly is shown in this painting. I really get inspired by butterflies. Why?
Because they are beautiful, brave and stable. And we can learn from them something.

Many butterflies migrate over long distances. During these flights they can lose a lot of surface of their wings. They always find the right landing place where they were visiting before. And they know the way back to their safe home. These small creatures are really brave to makes such big steps in their small lives. So, butterflies can give a good lesson of Courage.

In my painting this butterfly is arriving after a long journey back home to a butterfly garden. She is tired, but a winner, despite the fact that there were so many dangers in her way. She sees her familiar places, her home tree, favorite flower, where she likes to rest and a stream, from where she can drink to get her strength back. And the night is passing for a new day."
